Why Bowling Green?

Bowling Green is home to Western Kentucky University (WKU) and its community continues to grow.

Quick Facts:

  • Bowling Green population is 75,000+ people
  • Metro area is 180,000+ people
  • Expecting 5% growth in the next 5 years
  • WKU has 16,000+ students
  • Bowling Green is only 1 hour away from downtown Nashville!

Several thousand refugees from many different countries live in Bowling Green. They had to leave their country and home due to a conflict or crises, and Bowling Green is one of the places that the government will house them. Many of them come from places that are difficult to access with the gospel.

Bowling Green is a growing community where people are responding to the gospel. We continued to be encouraged that this will be a great place to plant a church due to the need.
